RIVERBANK, Calif. (July 17, 2024) — A fatal bicycle accident happened Wednesday morning on Santa Fe Road, just north of Henry Road in the Riverbank area.
The deadly crash occurred at around 5:56 a.m. on July 17th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
It happened in the 22514 to 23137 block of Santa Fe Road when a vehicle struck a pedestrian riding a bicycle.
The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene along with paramedics who confirmed the death of the cyclist.
Police closed down Santa Fe Road between Henry and Hall for roughly two hours to conduct an investigation into what happened.
