Pedestrian Killed After 3-Vehicle Car Accident on 10 Freeway
SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, Calif. (Dec. 1, 2023) — A fatal pedestrian accident and multi-vehicle collision happened Thursday night on the eastbound Interstate 10 Freeway in Bloomington.
First, the three-vehicle collision occurred at around 11:22 p.m. on Nov. 30th, just east of Cedar Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a male from one of the vehicles exited the car and crossed into westbound traffic lanes where he was struck in the No. 4 lane by an oncoming white Toyota Prius. The victim was thrown into the air and landed in the center lanes. Other vehicles swerved to avoid hitting him again.
Paramedics responded and pronounced the man deceased on scene before requesting the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner.
Meanwhile, at least one person sustained minor injuries in the initial three-vehicle collision on the eastbound side of the I-10 Freeway.
Investigators are working on both collisions to determine fault.
