Deadly Crash on Vasco Road in Brentwood
BRENTWOOD, Calif. (July 10, 2023) — A fatal head-on car accident in Brentwood happened Monday on Vasco Road near Walnut Boulevard.
At least one person died in the collision that occurred around 6:38 a.m. on July 10th, in Contra Costa County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision involved a silver Honda Fit, a grey Mazda 3 and a dark grey Acura sedan. All vehicles had their airbags deployed and one of them caught on fire, the report said. A bystander who called 911 attempted to extinguish the fire before firefighters arrived, but was unable to, the CHP report said.
Two people were found unresponsive and died at the scene following the Brentwood car accident on Vasco Road. The victims were not identified at this time. It’s unknown how many other people were injured.
Police closed down the roadway due to the crash and subsequent investigation.
