Deadly Car Accident on Vasco Road
BYRON, Calif. (June 21, 2023) — A fatal crash in Byron happened on Vasco Road, just south of Camino Diablo.
The 3-vehicle collision happened on the southbound side of Vasco Road around 2:05 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21st, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
Authorities issued a SigAlert and closed down Vasco Road in both directions, just south of Camino Diablo, the report said. The vehicles involved included a work van.
At least one person died in the crash and others were injured, but there are no specific details at this time.
Two of the vehicles involved were towed for evidence and police requested 100 feet of cable to retrieve a vehicle.
There is an investigation underway to determine fault for the Byron crash on Vasco Road.
