Fatal Camarillo Crash on Highway 101 at Carmen Drive
Deadly Collision on US 101 in Ventura County
VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. (March 17, 2025) — A fatal two-vehicle crash happened Monday on Highway 101 at Carmen Drive in Camarillo, Ventura County.
The traffic accident occurred in the middle lanes of US 101 at 2:56 a.m. on March 17th, according to the California Highway Patrol. The vehicles wound up under Carmen Drive in the center divide.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a black Ford Mustang and an unknown vehicle were involved, the report said.
The Ventura Sheriff’s Office and Ventura County Fire Department responded to the scene. Paramedics transported at least one person to Ventura County Medical Center and at least one person died following the collision.
All lanes were blocked and police diverted traffic off the highway at Lewis and then requested Caltrans make a hard closure due to the crash and subsequent investigation.
