Woman, 20, Died in Head-on Crash in Cambria
CAMBRIA, Calif. (May 20, 2024) — A young woman is dead and three others were injured in a crash in the Cambria area on Sunday afternoon on Highway 1 north of Burton Drive.
Two vehicles collided at around 3:20 p.m. on May 19th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a 20-year-old Rocklin woman driving one of the vehicles swerved into the path of a southbound vehicle. The woman’s 19-year-old passenger, who is from Flagstaff, Arizona, was taken to a hospital with major injuries.
Two people from Bakersfield were riding in the second car including a 56-year-old man and a 59-year-old woman. Both of them were taken to a hospital where the man was treated for major injuries and the woman for moderate injuries.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the Cambria crash on Highway 1.
