2 Killed, 4 Injured in Car Accident at Canoga Park Intersection
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Jan. 8, 2024) — Two people are dead and four others suffered minor to major injuries Saturday in a Canoga Park crash on Topanga Canyon Boulevard.
The deadly crash occurred at around 12:45 a.m. on Jan. 6th in the 7600 block of North Topanga Canyon Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Three vehicles collided at the intersection due to unknown circumstances. A man and a woman became trapped in the wreckage and both of them died at the scene before they could be extricated.
Meanwhile, two other people were critically injured and transported by LAFD paramedics to a regional trauma center.
Two other people sustained minor injuries and both of them declined an ambulance at the scene to take them to a hospital.
Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Division closed down at least one traffic lane at the intersection until the investigation was completed. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner will release the victim’s names after their relatives are notified.
The fatal crash on Topanga Canyon Boulevard remains under investigation.
