One Dead, Child Injured in Multi-Car Crash in Long Beach

LONG BEACH, Calif. (August 27, 2024) – A child was among the injured in a fatal four-vehicle car accident on Interstate 405 Freeway in Long Beach.

The deadly crash occurred at about 10 a.m. on Monday, August 26th in the southbound lanes of the I-405 near the Lakewood Boulevard off ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The identity of the person who died was not released and there are no further details at this time.

Police are working to determine fault for the fatal accident on the 405 Freeway.
