Woman Killed in Crash at San Bernardino Intersection
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (August 1, 2023) — A fatal car accident happened Saturday at 9th Street and Del Rosa Drive in San Bernardino.
The two-vehicle collision occurred on July 29th between a driver in a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck and a Lexus sedan, according to the San Bernardino Sun.
The 22-year-old Hemet man driving the pickup truck allegedly drove through a red traffic light at the intersection and crashed broadside into the woman driving northbound in the Lexus. The vehicle caught on fire after the crash and the woman was unable to exit her vehicle. She suffered major injuries and died at the scene.
It’s unknown if the man driving the pickup was hurt or not. Meanwhile, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is heading up the investigation into the car accident. It’s unknown at this time if drugs and or alcohol were factors in the collision.
