Owen Cruz Arrested Following Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash in Rancho Cordova

RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (Nov. 11, 2024) — Two juveniles were among the injured in a fatal hit-and-run car accident Friday at Borderlands Drive and Douglas Road in Rancho Cordova.

The deadly, traffic accident occurred around 9:15 on Friday, Nov. 8th, according to Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District.

Metro Fire responded to the crash scene where they located two adults and two juveniles in one of the vehicles with injuries, but unfortunately, the driver later died at the scene.

The other driver fled the scene, but was later arrested.

Owen Cruz, 33, also known as Ogan Gencer, was arrested early Saturday morning on hit-and-run charges.
