Fatal Car Accident Interstate 10 Freeway, Pomona 60 Freeway in Downtown LA

1 Killed, 3 in Critical Condition in Freeway Crash

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Oct. 19, 2023) – A fatal car accident left one person dead and three others in critical condition on the Interstate 10 Freeway and the Pomona 60 Freeway in downtown Los Angeles.

The traffic accident occurred at around 4:08 a.m. on Oct. 19th, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Firefighters and paramedics responded to the transition road from the eastbound Santa Monica (10) Freeway and the eastbound Pomona (60) Freeway.

There were four people injured and one of them died at the scene, the LAFD said.

Three other people were transported to a hospital in critical condition, fire officials said.

Police issued a SigAlert and closed down four lanes of the 10 Freeway.

Investigators are working to determine fault for the car accident on the 10 Freeway.
