BREAKING: Deadly Crash in Manzanita

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, Calif. (June 28, 2024) — A fatal car accident happened early Friday on Old Highway 80 and Tierra Del Sol Road in Manzanita, an unincorporated community in San Diego County.

The deadly crash occurred at around 1:04 a.m. on June 28th, just north of the border with Mexico, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported one person was ejected from a vehicle and another person was trapped inside a vehicle following the crash. At least two vehicles were involved in the collision.

Paramedics responded and confirmed the death of one person on scene and another was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries.

Tow trucks removed the damaged vehicles and investigators are working to determine fault for the car accident on Old Highway 80 in Manzanita.
