1 Killed, 5 Injured in Head-On Crash on Phelan Road Saturday
PHELAN (September 1, 2018) – A traffic collision along Phelan Road left one person dead and several others injured on Saturday afternoon, according to Victor Valley News.
The accident involving two vehicles took place at about 12:34 p.m.
California Highway Patrol said a Chevy pickup S10 truck was going west when at the same time a 2018 Mercedes Benz GLC was headed east on Phelan Road.
The pickup and the SUV then collided head-on for an unknown reason, just west of Mango Street. Both cars sustained major damage was a result of the crash.

San Bernardino County Fire Department officials along with the paramedics responded and pronounced the female driver of the truck dead at the scene. The male passenger of the pickup sustained minor injuries.
CHP affirmed that a female occupant in the Mercedes was flown to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with significant injuries.
Three other parties involved apparently had minor wounds due to the wreck. One was taken by ground ambulance to Arrowhead while the other two were not hospitalized.
The names of all the victims and their condition at this time were not released. The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
