Motorcyclist Killed in Marin County Collision
INVERNESS, Calif. (July 8, 2024) — A fatal crash involving a motorcycle and minivan happened Sunday on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at Pierce Point Road in Inverness, a community in western Marin County.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 2:15 p.m. on Sunday, July 7th, according to the California Highway Patrol and CBS.
The motorcycle rider collided with the minivan due to unknown circumstances and one of the vehicles caught on fire, the report said.
Unfortunately, one of the people involved suffered major injuries and died at the scene, according to the CHP.
Police closed down Pierce Point Road and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard northwest of Inverness due to the crash and investigation. Tow trucks removed both of the vehicles.
