
At Least 1 Killed in Collision at SR-160 and Brannan Island Road
Sacramento County, CA (March 9, 2023) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a deadly traffic accident that occurred in the area of State Route 160 and Brannan Island Road.
On March 9, Thursday, two vehicles collided on the highway in South Sacramento. Officials described the cars involved in the wreck as a gray Nissan Altima, and a white truck. The CHP later added multiple other vehicles were involved in the catastrophic incident.
Deadly Car Accident in Sacramento County
Shortly after 2p.m., emergency crews arrived at the scene. Responding paramedics immediately checked the conditions of all parties found at the crash site. After the evaluation, medical personnel sadly confirmed one person died in the collision. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Several factors surrounding the tragic incident have not been discussed thus far. At this time, detectives continue to investigate exactly how and why the fatal crash happened at State Route 160 and Brannan Island Road in Sacramento.
