Deadly Crash in Carlsbad Early Wednesday Morning

CARLSBAD, Calif. (April 3, 2025) – A fatal pedestrian accident happened early Wednesday morning on Carlsbad Boulevard near Island Way.

The deadly crash occurred around 5 a.m. on April 3rd, in the 6600 block of Carlsbad Boulevard, according to the Carlsbad Police Department.

A driver in a vehicle was traveling northbound when they struck the pedestrian who was reportedly standing in the roadway, police said.

The driver stopped and waited for authorities to respond. Meanwhile, paramedics transported the victim to a hospital, however, the unidentified person died a short time later.

Investigators are asking witnesses to contact the Carlsbad Police Department or Crime Stoppers.
