Deadly Crash on 405 Freeway in Carson
CARSON, Calif. (June 6, 2022) – A fatal, multi-vehicle crash happened early Monday on the northbound Interstate 405 Freeway in Carson.
At least one person died in the 4:20 a.m. crash on June 6th between a work truck, a sedan and possibly a pickup, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The vehicles collided in the northbound lanes of the San Diego Freeway at Wilmington Avenue, the CHP reports.
Witnesses told authorities the work truck and sedan blocked the HOV lane following the collision. Also, another truck pulled over at the Wilmington Avenue off ramp.
Meanwhile, one person was reportedly lying on the ground and drywall and debris was strewn all across traffic lanes, the CHP said.
Paramedics responded and at least one person died on scene. There are no further details at this time.
Finally, authorities issued a SigAlert at 5:18 a.m. for the HOV lane and lanes 1, 2 and 3.
