One Killed in Car Versus Semi-Truck Crash in Castaic
CASTAIC, Calif. (Feb. 9, 2023) – Anthony Medina, 30, died in a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning on state Route 126 at Wolcott Way in Castaic.
Police responded to the crash scene after receiving a 911 call about 3:31 a.m. on Feb. 9th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department sent paramedics to the freeway as well. They located a driver in a white Honda Civic trapped in their vehicle after it crashed into the back of a trailer on the westbound SR-126, the CHP said.
Sadly, the victim suffered major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
It’s unknown at this time what led to the crash.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Castaic crash on state Route 126.
