Fatal Cathedral City Pedestrian Accident
CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif. (Nov. 7, 2018) — A man was struck and killed Tuesday after being struck by a vehicle in Cathedral City.
The man reportedly jaywalked near Whispering Palms and Ramon Road. The driver called police and is fully cooperating with the investigation
Police discovered beer bottles near the pedestrian and they are investigating whether or not the victim who died had been drinking. Both the driver and the victim were going to be tested to see if they were under the influence of alcohol and or drugs.
The intersection at Whispering Palms and Ramon Road was temporarily closed down for the investigation.

Police are reviewing the evidence and any witness statements to determine fault for this collision. The investigation will consist of looking at measurements, going over evidence left by the vehicle such as point of impact, final resting positions of the vehicle, skid marks, and gouge marks.
