One Dead in Fatal Motorcycle, Semi-Truck Crash on 91 Freeway

 Fatal Cerritos Crash Artesia 91 Freeway, Pioneer Boulevard CERRITOS, Calif. (March 9, 2022) –  A fatal Cerritos motorcycle crash happened late Tuesday night on the Artesia 91 Freeway.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances leading to the deadly crash at 11:24 p.m. on March 8th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

UPDATED: Teddy Faile, 60, is the man who died in the Cerritos crash, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office.

CHP Officers responded to the crash scene in the westbound lanes of the 91 Freeway, just east of Pioneer Boulevard.

They located a two-vehicle collision involving a big rig and a motorcycle in the middle lanes of the freeway, police said. However, the CHP dispatch mentions a second semi-truck pulling a yellow and orange trailer may have left the scene.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the scene to help those hurt, but sadly one person was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators are working to determine the cause of the collision and liability.

Meanwhile, police closed down all lanes of the 91 freeway for several hours.
