Multi-Vehicle Crash on State Route 60 in Chino
CHINO, Calif. (August 26, 2021) — A fatal Chino car accident happened Thursday morning on the 60 Freeway, just east of Mountain Avenue.
The multi-vehicle traffic accident happened about 7:44 a.m. on August 26th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a Ford F-150 pickup truck, a red Mazda 3 and a work truck collided due to unknown circumstances.
The vehicles blocked the HOV and No. 1 lanes of the freeway following the fatal Chino car accident.
Paramedics responded to to at least one injured person having trouble breathing. By 8 a.m., one person was confirmed dead at the scene.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner responded. The CHP report did not mention the age, gender or identity of the person who died in the collision. Also, it’s unknown how many others were injured in the fatal Chino car accident.
Investigators seek to determine the cause of the crash and liability.
