CHINO HILLS, Calif. (Dec. 6, 2022) — A fatal bicycle accident happened Sunday night on Grand Avenue, just west of the 71 Freeway in Chino Hills.
The Chino Hills Police Department reported the crash occurred about 10:48 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4th, the Chino Champion reports.
The San Bernardino County Coroner’s office will release the victim’s name after they notify next of kin.
The Chino Hills Police Department responded to Grand Avenue after someone reported a collision involving the bicyclist and a car, police said.
However, the bicycle rider suffered major injuries and died at the scene following the crash.
Investigators with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team are working on the case.
