Motorcyclist Killed in Car Accident in Chula Vista
CHULA VISTA, Calif. (Nov. 15, 2024) — A fatal Chula Vista motorcycle crash happened Thursday afternoon on Telegraph Canyon Road.
The two-vehicle collision occurred in the 700 block of Telegraph Canyon Road at around 4:44 p.m. on Nov. 14th, according to the Chula Vista Police Department.
The motorcyclist was driving a black and silver Suzuki GSXR 1000 bike when he reportedly struck the median and lost control. He was thrown off the bike and into the path of an oncoming eastbound Honda Accord. The car struck the man in the roadway and the 56-year-old Spring Valley woman driving the vehicle stopped and called for help.
The Chula Vista Police Traffic Bureau is investigating the collision. It’s unknown at this time if the condition of the roadway or the motorcycle were factors, but police say alcohol and/or drugs are not factors.
Finally, investigators closed down Telegraph Canyon between Medical Center Drive and Paseo del Rey.
