Two-Vehicle Rollover Crash on I-80 in Vallejo
VALLEJO, Calif. (August 7, 2024) — A fatal rollover crash early Wednesday morning on the Interstate 80 Freeway at the American Canyon Road off ramp near Vallejo.
The collision occurred at around 12:48 a.m. on August 7th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials report a two-vehicle crash in the westbound slow lanes of the I-80 that caused both vehicles to overturn.
At least one person died in the collision between a grey Toyota Prius or Camry and a black Ford Bronco and others were injured.
Firefighters extricated at least one person trapped in a vehicle. Also, paramedics responded with an ambulance and transported at least one person with injuries to Kaiser Vallejo hospital.
Tow trucks removed the vehicles and debris scattered across the Nos. 3 and 4 traffic lanes.
The Solono County Sheriff Coroner responded to the scene and police issued a SigAlert.
