2-Vehicle Crash on Highway 242
CONCORD, Calif. (Feb. 12, 2024) — One person died in a crash Sunday morning in the Concord area on the southbound Highway 242, just south of Clayton Road.
The CHP reported two vehicles were involved in the collision at around 7:36 a.m. on Feb. 11th, according to CBS News.
Authorities reported the drivers of a BMW SUV and a Ford sedan were involved in the crash, but neither one of the motorists had passengers in their vehicle.
Paramedics responded to help the drivers, but the driver in the Ford did not survive and died on scene, the report said. Police say the driver of the BMW did not have any injuries.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation to determine fault.
