Pedestrian Struck, Killed at Grant Street On Ramp SR-242
CONCORD, Calif. (Sept. 23, 2022) — A fatal Concord pedestrian accident happened Friday morning on the Grant Street on ramp to the northbound Highway 242.
The collision occurred about 4:02 a.m. on Sept. 23rd, in Contra Costa County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a driver in a gray Honda Civic struck the pedestrian in the slow lane of the on ramp.
The victim went down in the roadway and suffered fatal injuries. The report did not provide the victim’s name, age or gender. Also, it’s unknown what led up to the fatal Concord pedestrian accident.
Police responded to the scene and closed down the on ramp due to the crash.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault.
