1 Killed, 1 Injured in Corona Car Accident on I-15 Freeway
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, Calif. (Sept. 14, 2021) — A fatal Corona crash on the Interstate 15 Freeway happened Tuesday near the El Cerrito Road exit.
The collision happened about 3:55 a.m. on Sept. 14th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
One or two vehicles collided and a driver got out of their vehicle. An oncoming motorist struck and killed the driver on the freeway, the report said.
Woman Injured in Corona Crash on 15 Freeway
Paramedics with the Corona Fire Department transported a female passenger, believed to be in her 40s, to Corona Regional Medical Center. The report did not mention the extent of her injuries.
Meanwhile, it appears one of the involved motorists fled the scene and police conducted a search of the area.
Authorities issued a SigAlert at 4:25 a.m. for roughly an hour. The Nos. 1, 2 and 3 lanes were blocked by the collision and emergency responders.
