Costa Mesa Police Looking for Hit-And-Run Motorist
COSTA MESA, Calif. (June 16, 2022) – A fatal Costa Mesa hit-and-run pedestrian accident left a woman dead Wednesday night in the area of Fairview Road, just south of Baker Street.
The collision occurred near the intersection about 9 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15th, according to the Costa Mesa Police Department.
A driver reportedly struck the 64-year-old woman as she crossed the street and fled the scene, police said.
Now authorities are seeking the public’s help to find the hit-and-run motorist.
Witnesses told police the vehicle was a silver Toyota sedan or similar vehicle. It had “moderate” damage to its front end and windshield, police said. At this time, authorities did not release a description of the motorist who fled the pedestrian accident on Fairview Road.
