One Killed in Fatal Crash on Glenn Anderson Freeway in South Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (May 3, 2024) – A fatal two-vehicle crash happened Thursday night on the Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway near Vermont Avenue in South Los Angeles.
The fiery crash occurred at around 10:44 p.m. on May 2nd, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a Honda Prius and a sedan were involved.
CHP officers responded to the crash scene near the Vermont Avenue exit and the westbound side of the Glenn Anderson Freeway. They located the Honda on fire and the sedan on the right shoulder of the freeway.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, police said.
Police issued a SigAlert and closed down the Vermont Avenue on-ramp and the westbound lanes of the freeway.
Traffic investigators worked on the case for several hours and will determine fault for the crash.
