Multi-Vehicle Fatality Collision on I-280 Freeway

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, Calif. (Feb. 21, 2025) — A fatal multi-vehicle crash happened Friday on the northbound Interstate 280 Freeway, just south of Page Mill Road in Los Altos Hills.

The traffic accident occurred around 12:08 p.m. on Feb. 21st, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported a blue BMW had major front-end damage in the collision with a Kia Rio and a third vehicle. Paramedics responded to help those injured, but unfortunately, one person died.

Police issued a SigAlert due to the crash and tow trucks removed the damaged vehicles.

Investigators are working to determine fault for the crash on the 280 Freeway in Los Altos Hills.
