Fatal Crash 405 Freeway at Century Boulevard Near LAX, DUI Driver Arrested

Fatal crash 405 Freeway LennoxLENNOX, California (April 30, 2017 — A 24-year-old Carson man died in a collision with a suspected drunken driver on the northbound Interstate 405 Freeway, just north of Century Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The Los Angles County Coroner released the name of a 24-year-old man named Fabian Del La Cruz who died in a freeway crash on April 29.

The fatal crash took place about 3:05 a.m. Saturday morning. The victim’s 2017 Mazda became disabled on the freeway and was rear-ended by a 2017 Ford Fusion. The 32-year-old Los Angeles man who was driving the Ford was allegedly DUI and was subsequently arrested by police. The Carson man who had been driving the Mazda died of his injuries at the scene of the crash.

The collision remains under investigation by police.
