Deadly Crash on 60 Freeway in Boyle Heights

BOYLE HEIGHTS, Calif. (June 24, 2022) — A fatal crash occurred Friday morning on the Pomona (60) Freeway at the Soto Street off ramp in Boyle Heights.

The collision occurred about 4:14 a.m. on June 24th near the 101 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported the crash killed at least one person and a dog died on scene.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner responded to the scene and officials also requested a criminalist respond.

Investigators are working on the case to determine what happened.
