Two Dead in Fatal Crash in Altadena
ALTADENA, Calif. (July 29, 2021) – A fatal crash on Angeles Crest Highway happened early Thursday morning after a car smashed into a tree in Altadena.
Two people are dead following the 1:50 a.m. crash on State Route 2 at Milepost Marker 50, according to the California Highway Patrol. The CHP report mentioned a third person suffered major injuries in the collision.
UPDATE: Edwin Salguero, 21, and a 17-year-old boy, both died in the collision.
Police officers and paramedics with the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the early morning collision where they located an Acura sedan that went off the roadway and crashed into a tree.
Authorities requested a SigAlert due to both eastbound and westbound lanes being blocked by emergency responders and police vehicles.
There are no further details about what led up to the deadly crash. Also, the names of the people involved will be released after family members are notified.
