Multi-Vehicle Car Accident on State Route 14
SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (June 20, 2023) — A fatal crash on the Antelope Valley 14 Freeway at the Escondido Canyon Road off ramp happened Monday night in the Santa Clarita area.
The multi-vehicle collision occurred in the northbound HOV and Nos. 1 and 2 lanes around 8:40 p.m. on June 19th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a white Toyota Corolla and a blue or grey sedan, a black vehicle and a Honda sedan were involved. One of the vehicles caught on fire and a woman was laying in the roadway screaming, the report said.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to help those injured in the crash, but unfortunately at least one person died.
Tow trucks removed the white sedan due to rear-end damage and the black vehicle with fire damage.
Investigators are piecing together what happened to determine fault for the crash on the Antelope Valley 14 Freeway.
