Fatal Crash at Albers Road and Dusty Lane in Modesto

MODESTO, Calif. (August 1, 2025) — One person was killed early Thursday morning following a solo crash near Albers Road and Dusty Lane, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene shortly after 5 a.m. on August 1st, the CHP said. Reports indicate that the incident was severe enough to prompt multiple agencies, including fire crews and medical personnel, to respond. Despite efforts by paramedics, at least one person was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released.
Radio traffic from CHP logs shows coordination between emergency units, with Battalion Chief Tucker listed among those responding. By 6:20 a.m., American Medical Response (AMR) had been contacted to stand down, indicating the victim could not be saved.
TNT Towing was called to remove the vehicle from the scene. Only one tow was required, and road closures were not reported as necessary.
Authorities have not released further details about the circumstances of the crash. The cause remains under investigation.
