Fatal Truck Accident on Avenue 12
MADERA, Calif. (August 30, 2024) — A fatal crash involving a semi-truck and car happened Friday at Avenue 12 and Riverstone Boulevard in Madera.
A semi-truck pulling double trailers and a Nissan Altima were involved in the collision at 5:43 a.m. on August 30th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The driver in the Chrysler was traveling westbound on Avenue 12 before the vehicle stopped to make a left-hand turn onto Riverstone Boulevard.
However, the semi-truck traveling behind the Chrysler was unable to to stop and rear-ended the Chrysler.
One person died and it’s unknown if others were injured.
CHP officials are working to determine fault for the Madera crash on Avenue 12.
