Fatal Crash at Manning Avenue and Yuba Avenue in San Joaquin
Audi Sedan, John Deere Tractor Collision in Fresno County
FRESNO, Calif., (July 22, 2026) — A fatal crash involving a car and a tractor in the San Joaquin area happened early Wednesday on West Manning Avenue, just east of South Yuba Avenue in Fresno County.
The fiery, two-vehicle collision, reported at approximately 8:01 a.m. on July 22nd, left one person dead. A driver in an Audi sedan was driving at high speed when they crashed into the back of a John Deere tractor. The tractor had been traveling at reduced speed on the shoulder next to the white roadway line of Manning Avenue. The car overturned multiple times and caught on fire, according to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Department. Emergency responders, including deputies and CAL FIRE, were dispatched to the scene.
One Dead, One Seriously Injured in Crash on Manning Avenue
Tragically, the male driver in the car became trapped inside his vehicle, which was fully engulfed in flames by 8:06 a.m. Despite their swift response, deputies confirmed the fatality on scene by 8:07 a.m. Meanwhile, the driver of the tractor was ejected and sustained major injuries. Paramedics transported the person to Community Regional Medical Center.
The identity of the deceased has not been released at this time, pending notification of next of kin. Emergency units were assigned and en route within minutes of the initial report to provide assistance and investigate the scene.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances leading up to the crash and are seeking any witnesses who may have seen the incident unfold. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
