One Dead in 2-Vehicle Crash in Azusa
AZUSA, Calif. (April 13, 2021) – A fatal crash at Azusa Avenue and Gladstone Street happened early Tuesday morning in Azusa.
The two-vehicle crash happened about 1:30 a.m. on April 13th, according to the Azusa Police Department. An SUV overturned during the collision and partially crushed the roof of the other vehicle described as a two-door sports car.
A driver involved in the crash become trapped in the wreckage. The unidentified man reportedly died at the scene of the accident. The Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner will identify him after notifying family members.
Police subsequently closed the intersection until further notice.
The Azusa Police Department is investigating the cause of the fatal crash on Azusa Avenue.
Authorities asked motorists to avoid the intersection due to the collision and subsequent investigation.
The cause of the crash will be determined.
