3-Vehicle Crash Hwy 101, Chualar River Road
MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. (April 29, 2022) — A fatal crash at Highway 101 and Chualar River Road happened Friday in Monterey County.
The deadly, 3-vehicle collision occurred about 11:15 a.m. on April 29th, near the Odonata Winery, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a white Dodge Ram 3500 pickup truck, a red Volkswagen and a dark blue Toyota Prius collided due to unknown circumstances.
One person reported died following the crash, but there are no specific details about the person.
The CHP report does mention that one person in the Volkswagen was unconscious and that paramedics were helping an injured woman at the scene.
Tow trucks came to remove the pickup truck on its wheels and the Volkswagen from the crash scene.
Meanwhile, investigators are working on the case and will determine fault.
