Fiery Car Accident in Hacienda Heights
HACIENDA HEIGHTS, Calif. (May 1, 2023) — A fatal crash on Colima Road and Camino Del Sur happened Monday morning in Hacienda Heights.
One person died in the fiery two-vehicle collision at the Hacienda Heights intersection, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The traffic accident occurred around 1:47 a.m. on May 1st, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch. Police learned about the collision from a witness who called 911 for help.
At least one of the motorists crashed into a traffic signal pole and became engulfed in flames.
Paramedics responded with police and confirmed the death of one person at the scene.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner has not yet released the victim’s age, gender or identity, pending notification of their next of kin.
Meanwhile, the CHP is heading up an investigation into the cause of the crash and liability.
