Truck, 2 Cars Collide at Linden Intersection
San Joaquin County, Calif. (May 15, 2024) — A fatal, multi-vehicle crash happened Wednesday morning at East Comstock Road and North Duncan Road near Linden.
The deadly crash occurred at around 5:10 a.m. on May 15th, according to the California Highway Patrol. It’s unknown what led up to the crash at the intersection where there are stop signs only for traffic entering Comstock Road from Duncan Road.
CHP officials reported a pickup truck and a farm tractor were involved in the collision. Both motorists were westbound on Comstock Road prior to the collision, Fox 40 News reports. The truck reportedly overturned and the driver was partially ejected and died at the scene, the news report said.
Paramedics and the San Joaquin Sheriff’s Office responded to help those involved. Police closed down the roadway in both directions due to the accident.
At least one person died at the scene, but the person’s identity was not released.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the Comstock Road crash in Linden.
