Deadly Solo Crash on Copus Road
KERN COUNTY, Calif. (July 17, 2024) — One person died and three others were possibly injured in a solo-vehicle crash on Copus Road, just south of Bakersfield in Kern County.
The deadly collision occurred at around 6:05 a.m. on July 17th, just west of the Interstate 5 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
It’s unknown what led up to the traffic accident that left one person deceased and pinned under a car, the report said.
However, three or four other occupants exited the vehicle with undisclosed injuries.
Meanwhile, paramedics responded to the 9100 to 9349 block of Copus Road to help those injured.
The identity of the person who died is unknown at this time.
Finally, investigators are working to determine fault for the fatal crash on Copus Road.
