Fatal Crash Domenigoni Parkway and Leon Road in Winchester
Multi-Vehicle Crash in Riverside County
WINCHESTER, Calif. (Sept. 6, 2023) — A fatal, multi-vehicle crash happened Wednesday on Domenigoni Parkway and Leon Road in Winchester.
The deadly crash occurred in the eastbound lanes of Domenigoni Parkway around 11:40 a.m. on Sept. 6th, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The drivers of a white Dodge SUV, a white Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, a white BMW and a big rig truck were involved, the report said. At least one of the vehicles also collided with a fire hydrant and knocked down a light pole into the roadway. The fire hydrant was spewing water roughly 80 feet into the air.
CAL Fire/Riverside County Fire sent paramedics and firefighters to the scene to help those involved.
At least one person died at the scene of the collision, but it’s unknown how many others may have been hurt at this time.
Tow trucks removed the damaged vehicles including the Chevrolet pickup truck from the roadway.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the crash on Domenigoni Parkway in Winchester.
