One Killed, One Critical in Collision on Sunday, Dec. 15th
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Dec. 16, 2024) – One person died, and one person was injured in a crash Sunday on Don Lorenzo Drive at Stocker Street in the Baldwin Hills/Crenshaw area of Los Angeles.
The traffic accident occurred in front of 4601 West Don Lorenzo Drive at 4:10 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 15th at Stocker Street, according to a release by the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The driver was traveling southbound on Don Lorenzo Drive when he made a left-hand turn in front of an oncoming westbound vehicle towards Stocker Street.
Paramedics responded and extricated both motorists from their vehicles. They transported the injured driver who made the left turn to a hospital, but the man believed to be in his 50s later died from their injuries. The Los Angeles County Sheriff-Coroner has not released the driver’s name and or exact age.
Meanwhile, paramedics also transported the second motorist to a hospital and that person was critically injured, but had stable vital signs.
The crash remains under investigation by the LAPD’s Southwest Traffic Division.
