CARMICHAEL, Calif. (Feb. 8, 2024) — A fatal crash involving three motorists happened Thursday on Fair Oaks Boulevard at Shelfield Drive in Carmichael.

The multi-vehicle collision occurred at around 7:30 a.m. on Feb. 8th, just east of Sacramento, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials responded to the scene of the crash between a silver Honda Accord, a black or blue minivan and a Toyota Prius. The vehicles were blocking the westbound traffic lanes and “do not look drivable,” the CHP report said.

The Sacramento Fire Department responded with paramedics and pronounced at least one person deceased at the scene, but it’s unknown at this time if there are others hurt.

Meanwhile, tow trucks came to remove the damaged vehicles from the roadway and investigators are working to determine fault for the crash on Fair Oaks Boulevard.
