
Tow Truck Driver Allegedly Ran Red Light
FRESNO, Calif. (April 12, 2023) – A driver in a tow truck allegedly crashed into a car early Wednesday in a fatal crash at North Friant Road and East Shepherd Avenue in Fresno.
The two-vehicle collision occurred around 12:30 a.m. on April 12th in northeast Fresno, according to Your Central Valley News.
The tow truck operator reportedly drove through a red traffic light prior to hitting a car making a turn at the intersection and killing its driver.
Paramedics responded to help the injured woman, but she sadly died at the scene. Amaya Chenot, 22, of Fresno, was later identified as the woman who died.
The Fresno Police Department is heading up the investigation into the Fresno crash on Friant Road.
Authorities closed down Friant Avenue between Audubon Drive Avenue and Fort Washington Road..
