2-Vehicle Fatal Car Accident in Orange
ORANGE, Calif. (August 30, 2023) — A fatal crash on the Garden Grove 22 Freeway happened Wednesday morning, just east of Main Street in Orange.
The two-vehicle collision occurred in the westbound lanes of SR-22 around 7:36 a.m. on August 30th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP reported the drivers of a black Toyota Tacoma pickup truck and a white Nissan coupe were involved.
One of the vehicles overturned onto its side during the collision in the HOV and No. 1 lanes of the freeway.
Metro Net Fire Authority responded to help anyone hurt in the collision. However, one person died at the scene of the crash on the 22 Freeway.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the fatal crash on the 22 Freeway.
