
Pedestrian Killed in Multi-Vehicle Collision on 105 Freeway
HAWTHORNE, Calif. (August 7, 2024) – A fatal multi-vehicle crash happened early Wednesday on the Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway in Hawthorne.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the collision involving a pedestrian happened at 2:43 a.m. on August 7th.
It happened in the westbound lanes of the freeway at the Crenshaw Boulevard off-ramp, the report said.
Police and paramedics responded and located the victim deceased in the No. 2 lane of the freeway, the CHP report said.
The Los Angeles Fire Department pronounced the person dead on scene, but their identity has not been released.
Finally, the CHP issued a SigAlert and closed down four westbound lanes of the freeway due to the cleanup and investigation.
