Man Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on 110 Freeway in South Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Dec. 23, 2024) – Giovanni Hernandez Santiago, 23, died following a two-vehicle crash early Sunday on the Harbor (110) Freeway, just south of Manchester Avenue in South Los Angeles.

The crash occurred about 5 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 22nd, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The drivers of a black sedan and a gray cargo van collided in the northbound express lanes of the freeway.

The young man was thrown from his vehicle and run over by an oncoming out-of-service Metro bus just a few minutes after the initial crash.

The 23-year-old man identified as Giovanni Hernandez Santiago died following the collision.
