Car Crashes Over Cliff Near Pescadero State Beach
SAN MATEO COUNTY, Calif. (Oct. 13, 2023) — One person is dead and two others injured in a solo-vehicle crash Thursday night off a cliff on Highway 1 near Pescadero Creek Road at Pescadero State Beach.
The traffic accident occurred at around 10 p.m. on Oct. 12th, south of Devil’s Slide, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A vehicle reportedly veered off State Route 1 and crashed roughly 100 feet to the ground below near the waterline at the beach.
Paramedics responded and pronounced a man dead at the scene. Two women were taken to a hospital with undisclosed injuries.
Meanwhile, investigators are working to determine what led up to the fatal traffic accident on Highway 101.
